The contestant finally reach the exit of the tunnel. From here they have to get through numele swamp and swindler's roost to reach the second exam center. They been warn that the animal in there will try any trick to get them and eat them. Before they realize, a man came up accusing the examiner is fake and claiming that he the real examiner. Everyone started to believing him when he trow a human-face monkey that look like the examiner. But when Gon say maybe it part of the exam. They start thinking. Leorio ask Gon if he can determine which one if the real examiner but he can't. Kurapica subject that the real one must have Hunter License Card. But the one that claiming he the real one said that, the fake one had stole from him.
Suddenly, a few card flew toward both examiner. The one that claiming he the real one die right away. The monkey that try to get away also be attack by Hisoka. Leorio ask why? Hisako say that this is faster way to determine which one is the real as a hunter should have block his simple attack. Hisoka also be warned by the examiner that if he did it again, it will resulting his failure to be hunter.

As they continue marathon again, Killua ask Gon to move further ahead when a fog coming. Killua explaining that Hisoka have a strong urge to kill people that they should get far away from him. After a while, Kurapica and Leorio lost track of the examiner with other contestants. Hisoka use this opportunity to kill all that are left behind claiming that he test them first. Kurapica ask Leorio to run ask they have no chance to win, but Leorio want to face Hisoka. Leorio badly hurt as Hisoka attack him. Gon come to the rescue, but he also can't defeat Hisoka. Kurapica also come to help. Hisoka say that they pass the test. He carry unconscious Leorio and ask Gon and Kurapica to follow him.
Gon follow Hisako by following Leorio's cologne scent. Finally they reach the second exam center, Bisuka Forest Part by time. Hisoka is waiting there with other contestant. But Leorio who just waking up didn't remember what had happen to him.
